Choosing the right dentist can be an overwhelming task. So overwhelming, in fact, that you may put it off for months or years before finally calling to schedule an appointment. When you consider the fact that at each dentist you’ll have to undergo the full new patient treatment and have X-rays and an exam done before you can develop a treatment plan, it makes sense as to why you want to ensure you make the right choice the first time. Here are three reasons you’ll know you’re making the right choice in East Cobb dentistry when you visit the Cobb Center for Advanced Dentistry.

High-Quality Standards

We want to make sure you’re always receiving the best service possible. From our ongoing education, to our top of the line equipment, to our well-appointed, East Cobb dentistry office space, you get nothing less than the absolute best when you trust us for your dental treatment.

Our dentist, Dr. Sanjay Patel, attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to receive his undergraduate degree in Chemistry. From there, he transferred to Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia to complete his dental degree. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta and began working as a dental associate before opening his own East Cobb dentistry practice. He has been serving patients in the area for nearly two decades and takes patient care very seriously. It is his mission to provide you with the best quality care possible, no matter when dental issues you’re facing. Dr. Patel’s practice is guided by his desire to make every patient feel at ease and as comfortable as possible from the start of the consultation, through to recovery.

Part of our ongoing commitment to high-quality dental care is to take a different approach to your overall dental health than you may receive at other offices. We strive to help you keep as many of your teeth as possible whereas other offices may recommend a full mouth replacement if your teeth are even a little bit damaged. We know this can be expensive, painful, and costly, and is typically recommended so those offices can increase their profits, not because they care about their patients. We know that there’s nothing better than your natural teeth, so instead, we look at the health of each individual tooth and try to save as many as we can. In the event a tooth is too far damaged to be saved, we will then discuss replacement options with you, but these rarely involve a full mouth reconstruction.

Our East Cobb Dentistry is a Lecture-Free Zone

Having dental work completed can be a frightening experience. In fact, 30-50% of US adults avoid the dentist out of fear. To help you feel more confident about your treatment, we promise not to lecture you for skipping flossing or forgetting to wear your retainer. Although we will encourage positive oral health behaviors and provide tips on making them easier, we will never make you feel bad for neglecting them. We know that lecturing patients actually makes them less likely to adopt those healthy behaviors, and more likely to avoid a return visit to the dentist. We want you to receive the best care, so we’ll make it as enjoyable of an experience as possible.

Patient Comfort

Our number one concern is your comfort. We know that visiting the dentist can be scary or painful no matter how old you are. That’s why we take every measure to ensure you are relaxed and comfortable every minute you’re in our office. Part of this strategy is dental sedation. This can be administered by breathing through a mask or taking a pill before your appointment. It will not put you to sleep, but you will be relaxed and maybe a little tired. Although you’ll remain conscious you may have little or no memory of the procedure. This allows for Dr. Patel to complete the work he needs to do without causing you unnecessary anxiety or trauma.
